Family Hike

Well we were told that the blog was getting boring, so here are some pics to liven it up.

At our first turn, they needed a break, luckily there was a bench.

I am reminded of a primary song...pioneer children sang as they walked and walked....
...and walked.
We found another bench to rest at, little did we know that it would be the last bench on the trek and we were probably only about 1/5 of the way there.
Luckily there were some rocks to rest on. Brigham also found a place to take a pee. We haven't had a lot of rain this summer, so this liquid was much needed for the vegetation.
Of course I had to get a pic of the world's number one Dad in here.
By this time the children were ready to quit. Brigham told us to leave him here and pick him up on the way back. I ended up pulling the kids up the rest of the way.
Brigham then sees the final destination.
Brig makes it.
Savannah climbs on.
Hunter got to the Y first, he ran the last 100 yards and went straight to the top.
Daddy and Hunter on the top.
Brig, Sav, Hunt, and Dad on top, Mommies hip was kiling her and her fear of the height kept her at the middle of the Y, but we all made it. What an accomplishment.
Of course another Daddy pic.
The view from the mountain, we could see our house...ok our neighborhood.
Still all smiles when we got to the bottom, I think it was more of relief that it was over and Daddy couldn't make them go anymore. We all actually had a great time.

This is Mt. Timp., I want to do this next. Hopefully before we go to Cali.

Dang take us with you! 18 miles round trip. Nothing feels like accomplishment more than hiking to the tip top of timp!! Or I guess You could just hike to the cave!

Hilarious. I love the despair on the kids' faces as they get further and further into the hike and realize that the end is nowhere in sight. Priceless.

How fun!! I love all your pictures. I would love to do that with our kids. What's wrong with your hip? Are you okay?
